As a mom and entrepreneur, how many times have you wondered “How am I going to get my business growth goals done? It’s just too much”?
I get it. I’ve been there, staring at my to-do list while my toddler has a meltdown over the “wrong” color cup, wondering how on earth I’m supposed to build a business when I can barely find time to shower.
You might be feeling…
- Like quitting feels easier than trying to juggle motherhood and entrepreneurship
- Completely exhausted trying to do it all (and wondering if anyone else’s house is also a complete disaster)
- Frustrated about how long it’s taking to reach your growth goals for business
- Guilty for working when you’re with your kids, and guilty for being with your kids when you should be working
- Overwhelmed by all the “shoulds” in your business and especially your growth goals for a business (hello, social media pressure!)
But here’s the truth: It can be done.
Not perfectly, not always according to plan, but it can be done.
Let me share my proven 6-step system that has helped mom entrepreneurs actually accomplish their goals (without losing their minds).
? 6 Steps to Accomplish Any Business Growth Goal (Even With Kids Running Around) ?
?? 1) Define ONE Major 3-Month Goal
Think specific and measurable. Instead of “grow my social media,” try “batch create 3 months of social media content on Tuesday and Wednesday during nap-time.” This clarity is game-changing.
Example: Batch 3 months of social media content (24 posts, 8 reels, 8 stories)
?? 2) Break Down Every Single Step
Get granular here. List everything you need to do, no matter how small.
Example for social media batching:
- Write post content
- Plan reel concepts
- Create graphics
- Research hashtags
- Schedule posting times
- Film reels
- Edit content
- Create story templates
?? 3) Prioritize with Purpose
If you are faith-based, take your list to God in prayer. Ask for wisdom in prioritizing what truly matters.
Example Priority Order:
a) Write core content (24 posts)
b) Plan and create 8 reels
c) Design story content
d) Create static post graphics
?? 4) Schedule Realistic Time Blocks
This is where most moms get tripped up.
Don’t plan 3-hour blocks if you know your toddler’s longest nap is 45 minutes.
Work with your real life, not against it.
Example Schedule:
- 20-minute content writing sessions during naptime
- 15-minute graphic design sprints while kids watch their favorite show
- 30-minute reel filming session when spouse can take the kids
?? 5) Execute and Celebrate
Track your progress. Celebrate small wins.
If you’re consistently procrastinating, pause whether this goal truly aligns with your priorities right now.
?? 6) Rinse and Repeat
Move to your next priority only after completing the current one. This prevents overwhelm and builds momentum.
Remember: Progress over perfection. Small, consistent steps will get you further than sporadic massive action.
The only way this system fails is if you give up.
Your dreams matter.
Your business matters.
The people waiting for your gifts need you to keep going.
When you feel like quitting, remember why you started.
Your journey matters – not just for you, but for every life you’ll touch through your business.
And those little eyes watching you? They’re learning that it’s possible to build something meaningful while keeping faith and family first
Keep going, mama. You’ve got this.
With love,
