Did you ever wake up and had planned what you wanted to accomplish for the day but it wasn’t even close to how you want to be? Yup, that is me right now. My ideal morning was-enjoy my breakfast and coffee. -go for a morning walk. -listen to a podcast. -feel the creative juices flowing and work on my business goal for the day. -finish by lunchtime. What I ended up doing is scrolling on Facebook. I went down a rabbit hole of reading about other coaches’ journeys, the struggle occurring with other entrepreneurs and how difficult life is in general. By the end of it, I felt emotionally drained and wishing I could redo the morning. Reflecting on this morning, I was asking myself why I was not working on my goal for today? I did a thought download (writing all my thoughts on a sheet of paper for 5 minutes). Turns out that I was avoiding starting a project because I was scared to start. Knowing that, I started reframing how I think. “I could work for 20 minutes and take a break. If I want to continue, I will do another 20 minutes and see where it goes.” “I can have my phone away from me and not be logged into Facebook. Whatever I want to read on Facebook will still be there later today.” Those 2 thoughts helped so much and led to the start of working on my business goal. When this happened, I thought about you.🤔 – Maybe you are having trouble working on your business? – Maybe you are having trouble keeping the momentum going for your business? – Maybe you are using social media to distract yourself from your goals? Ask yourself this- Why am I struggling with my goals today? And just write it out on a sheet of paper. See what comes up. This might be the key to getting past the block you are having with your current goals. Try it out and see. With love, Celia P.S.
