| Ever have one of those mornings where your perfectly planned day takes a completely different turn? That’s exactly where I found myself today, and I bet you’ve been there too. Picture this: My ideal morning was crystal clear. Savor a peaceful breakfast with coffee, take an energizing morning walk while listening to an inspiring podcast, and ride that creative wave straight into my business goals. Simple, right? All wrapped up by lunch, leaving the afternoon free for family time and self-care. Reality check? I fell into the endless scroll of Facebook instead. We all know how this story goes. Before I knew it, I was deep in the digital rabbit hole. Reading about other coaches’ journeys, absorbing entrepreneurs’ struggles, and diving into post after post about life’s challenges. As a fellow entrepreneur who thrives on accomplishment, this definitely wasn’t the productive morning I’d envisioned. The minutes turned into hours, and my carefully planned schedule started slipping away. By the time I finally looked up, I felt emotionally drained, wishing for a morning do-over button. But here’s where it gets interesting (and where I learned something valuable I want to share with you)… Instead of beating myself up (which, let’s be honest, is tempting), I decided to get curious. Why was I actively avoiding my goals for the day? I grabbed a sheet of paper and did what I call a “thought download” – just 5 minutes of unfiltered writing about whatever was on my mind. The truth? I was scared to start my project. That simple. Once I acknowledged this fear, everything shifted. It’s amazing how much power fear loses once we shine a light on it. I started reframing my thoughts: “I’ll work for just 20 minutes and then take a break. If I’m feeling it, I’ll do another 20.” “Facebook will still be there later. My phone doesn’t need to be.” These two simple mindset shifts were game-changers. They helped me break through the resistance and finally start working toward my business goals. Sometimes, the smallest changes in how we think can lead to the biggest breakthroughs in how we act. As I was processing this experience, I thought about you. Maybe you’re: ★ Struggling to find time for your business ★ Having trouble maintaining momentum ★ Using social media as a comfortable distraction ★ Feeling overwhelmed by your to-do list ★ Battling perfectionism that keeps you stuck Here’s my challenge to you: Ask yourself, “Why am I struggling with my goals today?” Take five minutes, grab a paper, and just write. No judgment, no filtering – just honest reflection. Let whatever comes up, come up. This simple exercise might be exactly what you need to break through whatever’s blocking your path forward. Sometimes, understanding the ‘why’ behind our procrastination is the key to moving past it. Remember, we all have these moments. The difference lies in how we choose to respond to them. And sometimes, the most productive thing we can do is pause, reflect, and reset our course. With love, Dr. Celia P.S. Want to learn more about maximizing your limited business time?
