What are your strengths in motherhood and entrepreneurship?

November 7, 2022

One of the best things I have done was taking a sabbatical shortly after leaving my job..

You may be scratching your head.

“Don’t you take sabbaticals during your job?”

Yes, generally.  In my case, it was after.

A friend had done a sabbatical during his pastoral care.  He had recommended using the same group.  Given the rave reviews of the program and where I was in life, I was eager to join.

3 months in, we started Phase 3 which was getting to know yourself.

During one of the phases, I had taken an inward assessment of myself.

1. What were my inward strengths?

2. What were my spiritual gifts?

3. What were my Gallup’s strengths?

4. What were my weaknesses?

5. What drains me?

We went in depth with each.

I learned that my spiritual gifts were mercy, giving and wisdom.  I had never knew what my spiritual gifts were until the Sabbatical

(For that, I am grateful for God providing the opportunity to learn)

I also learn that if I am in a position where it compromises my morals, I will be drained by the process.

It also emphasized how much I loved coaching and my eagerness to help others through coaching.

Learning so much about myself helped with my core valves as a Christian, mother and entrepreneur.

It is never too late to learn your strengths.

Knowing your strengths will help you set boundaries of what works and doesn’t work as a mother and entrepreneur.

Doing aspects that go against our grain leads to burnout. God is uniquely designed up with our gifts, personality and core values.

Lean into your strengths, my friend.  There is no one in the world like you.

You are loved,
